What to do?

I have three articles of clothing that do not fit me, yet as hard as I try I cannot get rid of them.  One is a beautiful skirt that I got at GAP when Aidan was a baby, it is a Size 0 (no I didn't forget the 1 in front of the 0, I was that SMALL, actually freakishly skinny), one is a cute sun dress that I wore to Nick's brother's wedding, but I can't wear dresses, I am constantly nursing someone and the third is a beautiful Hawaiian sarong, and I just don't wear sarongs.

So what can I do with these?  I have a few ideas, but I am not fully decided.  For the dress, I want to cut it at the waist-ish area and make it into a skirt and for the sarong I want to put it in the "play-room" above Téa's little reading chair, but maybe not.

Any ideas?

Oh man, Steph, I have several articles like that, as well! What do I do with 'em?!?! I love the idea about how to use the sarong. I have a really lovely yellow rose blouse that got marred by one of Ed's red work shirts (blech!) so I'm thinking of turning the un-stained side into a pillow. Could you do that with any of your fabric? I was also thinking of cutting up other things and using them with my mason jars (the little fabric square that goes in with the lids for decoration) - you could even fill them up with buttons or something like that and use them as decorations or put potpurri inside and leave the lid of the jar off and just have the fabric over the ring to let the scent escape.

Hmmm, what else? Sew one up into a little purse for Tea?

Make sure to share what you end up deciding!! :o)

Oh Kelly, I love your ideas. Actually I love your ideas. My mom is helping me make the dress into a skirt when we go to visit next week. But I think I am going to use the skirt for tops of mason jars, I am in LOVE with that idea. Thanks again!
